Author instructions and logistics

Oral presentations: Time allocation for invited and contributed talks is 30+5 min and 15+5 min, respectively. Supported presentation formats are Portable Document Format (PDF), Apple Keynote, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Upload your talk to an FMI computer (Windows and Mac available) before your session, i.e. during a tea/coffee or lunch break.

Poster presentations: Poster board size is 85 cm (width) x 150 cm (height). Recommended poster size is A0 in portrait orientation. All posters can be on display throughout the workshop, daily poster sessions take place from 13:20 to 14:50.

On-site registration begins on Monday 13 June at 9:20 at FMI. Participants will get a badge, WiFi login/password, receipt of the registration fee, and a 5-day bus/tram ticket (Helsinki internal). The book of abstracts and daily schedule are provided in electronic format only on the web, see the program page.

Official photograph will be taken on Wednesday 15 June at 12:20, during the lunch break.

Tea/Coffee breaks are at 10:15 and 14:50, daily, just outside of the workshop room.

Lunch break is from 12:20 to 13:30, daily. Note that lunches are not included in the registration fee. FMI has soup and salad cafeteria on level -1 and a lunch restaurant on level 0 (next to the workshop room). Payment by cash or card. Menu of the cafeteria and lunch restaurant.

Icebreaker reception will be on Monday 13 June at 5 p.m. on level -1.

Excursion and workshop dinner will take place on Wednesday 15 June at Seurasaari Open-Air Museum and Restaurant Seurasaari. A one-hour guided tour of the museum starts at 16:00 from the ticket office, afterwards there is time to explore the island. The dinner starts at 19:00. More information on Seurasaari. How to get to Seurasaari? Take the bus number 24 from Helsinki center (from Lasipalatsi stop) at 14:55 or 15:15. Seurasaari is the final stop. Cross the bridge by foot to the island's ticket office.
